About the Adapt-A-Home® Program
Small changes, making daily life easier
A tub you can't enter safely or porch step you can't climb shouldn't decide where you live.
Adapt-A-Home® has funding available to make accessible modifications to homes and apartments—with the focus of promoting independence, empowerment, safety, and dignity for those aging in place or living with a physical disability. So you can continue living on your own in a less restrictive environment.
This program is available in the City of Beaverton, City of Gresham, City of Hillsboro, City of Portland, and Multnomah County—including Corbett, Fairview, Troutdale, and Wood Village. Also, all of the contractors we use are vetted, experienced, and state qualified.

Eligibility for Adapt-A-Home® Program
To be eligible, you must meet these requirements

Someone in the home has a mobility need
A person with a physical disability, or a senior aging in place. Renters and homeowners both

You live in our service area
We serve Beaverton, Gresham, Portland, and neighborhoods in Multnomah County.
3
You meet the income guidelines
Total household income must be at or below the HUD median income guidelines for your area.

How It Works
From your first call to the final walkthrough

Phone Assessment
Answer a few questions over the phone to confirm your total household income, adaptive needs, and neighborhood.

Home Evaluation
One of our friendly team members will schedule an in-home visitation and build an action plan with you.

Contractor Selection
Through our vetted network of Oregon licensed contractors, we will gather bids and select the right professional for your project.
04
Project Completion
We will oversee the project from start to end, at no cost to you. So you can stay in your home with confidence.
